This Sunday, February 7, 2021 in the RE Space:

9:15 am – The Littles Group (Pre-K through Grade 1) – Let’s kick off Black History month honoring our Black leaders! We will celebrate differences with a scavenger hunt!

11:15 am – Children’s Group (Pre-K through Grade 4) – This month’s theme is “Beloved Community.” Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was one of the people that helped all of us understand this important idea and dream. King imagined the Beloved Community as a society based on justice, equity, peace and love of the entire world community. We will finish everything up with a virtual relay race!

1pm – Jr. Youth Group (Middle School) -When we think about Beloved Community, one can’t help starting with justice. UU white supremacy is being called out and challenged in our culture and our faith. We are gaining insights and slowly making steps forward thanks to the faith leaders of color about how to journey into multicultural wholeness. So, what’s one of the ways our faith guides us into becoming a people of Beloved Community? It tells us to “work towards justice!”
