Learn Mindfulness Meditation: An Introductory Class

Curious about mindfulness meditation but unsure how to begin? This introductory class explains the basic principles of mindfulness and provides a short guided meditation so you can experience the practice directly. Join Eleanor Howell for Monday Morning Meditation, a four-week, one-hour class held at 10:30 AM, beginning April 20th at UUCL. The group is limited to a minimum of six and a maximum of eight participants. A commitment to 15 minutes of daily meditation is expected.

The session will cover:

• What mindfulness meditation is
• The basic method used in mindfulness practice
• Common difficulties beginners encounter
• How to establish a simple daily practice

Format

• 15–20 minute explanation of mindfulness meditation
• 15–20 minute guided meditation
• Time for questions and discussion

This class is suitable for beginners and advanced meditators.
