A Chalice Lighter is a member of a UU congregation who joins with others to help support special projects for UU congregations in the Central East Region.
Here’s how it works:
A call for donations goes out 3 times a year, and Chalice Lighters respond with a donation – $25 is the suggested amount, but you can choose any amount. When one of the Central East Region’s congregations needs funding to help with an eligible project, they apply for a grant. This process helped our own congregation add a second exit and start to plan for the expansion of our space with a $20,000 grant in 2016.
