Honoring Our Ancestors

the Religious Exploration Committee will be in the sanctuary celebrating our family and ancestors who have passed during our intergenerational service. Together we’ll call on the wisdom and beauty of El Dia de los Muertos and other celebrations to help us remember and honor our ancestors and loved ones who have died. We invite you to bring a photo or memento of those you wish to remember.

Time for a REAL Reformation!

On June 7, 1494 and later on April 29, 1529 Portugal and Spain divided up the world between them in declaring their sovereignty as the Holy Roman Empire. Meanwhile, other European powers were declaring their own sovereignties under what was called the Protestant Reformation. But the concept of Sovereignty has taken on new significance lately and there is major competition for which national sovereignty will hold global dominance. What it says to us is that the Protestant Reformation now celebrating its 500th Year hardly produced substantive change to pursuits of global domination so the moment has brought us to our theme for the day of Time for a REAL Reformation.

Ingathering of the Community to begin a new church year. Gathering of the Waters as a blessing for the church as a community and for the grounds upon which we are housed. Children are encouraged to be in the chapel for the service. Please bring a small container of water for the Blessing Bowl.
