Imagining the Future of Our Faith

One service: 10:00am, in-person & online. On May 25 in 1825, at the Berry Street Conference in Boston, the idea of forming an American Unitarian Association (AUA) was discussed; the next day bylaws were adopted. This morning we will lean on lessons from our Transcendentalist past, from Jewish tradition, and our newly adopted statements of covenant and shared values, as well as this month’s Soul Matters theme to imagine together the future of UUism that we desire and need, a UUism that brings into being a fair, peaceful and just world in which all can thrive.. Led by Rev. Charlotte Lehman.

A link to view the service online will appear on the site at 9AM.

Sharing Our Stories

One service: 10:00am, in-person & online. Led by Rev. Charlotte Lehmann. Sharing the stories of our families and our communities has many values. To be sure these stories can be painful, at times, but they are also sources of inspiration and pride depending on what they entail. The people in our stories serve as models of heroism as well as cautionary tales. In the days, months and years ahead, we will need to access our personal libraries of stories in order to embody the resistance necessary to bring about a fair, peaceful and just world in which all can thrive.

During the past decade, Rev. Charlotte Lehmann has served as a religious educator or minister at UU congregations in MA, FL, and VA. They are also trained as an earth scientist and managed geochemical laboratories and conducted research on global climate change during their previous career.
