11:15 am – Children’s Group (Pre- K through Grade 4) 
Have a taste of the Philippines!  Cora Cooks Pancit is a sweet story of a mother and daughter cooking a traditional Filipino dish.  Then, then we will cook this noodle dish (without the chicken) for a delicious meal.

Ingredients needed:

Pancit 

1 (8 oz.) package of rice noodles 

1 yellow onion, chopped 

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, finely chopped 

2 tablespoons plus 1/4 cup soy sauce 

2 garlic cloves, finely chopped 

vegetable oil 

1/2 head cabbage, shredded 

3 carrots, thinly sliced 

3 celery stalks, sliced 

1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced  (optional)

1 (8 oz.) can bamboo shoots, sliced (optional)

1 (8 oz.) can baby corn, diced (optional)

1.5 cups water 

3 eggs, hard boiled and sliced (boil in advance) 

5 green onions, sliced lengthwise and cut into 3-inch strips (optional) 

salt and pepper

Being together is important, especially during these times when we have to be physically distant. This month we will continue to talk about compassion and how important it is to show to others. We will finish the hour with games! Bring your own snack!

Senior Youth Group will meet again in the fall.
